Taj Mahal, Erotic Temples & Tigers

 

Day 01 : Depart London for your flight to Delhi.

Day 02 : Delhi
Met on arrival at Delhi Airport and transferred to Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing in New Delhi to include Humayun's Tomb, Bahai Temple, Qutab Minar, India gate and Government buildings.
Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 : Delhi - Agra
Morning drive to Agra (4 Hours) and proceed for sightseeing. Agra is the home of the Taj Mahal and the famous Red Fort.
The Moghul Emperor Shah Jehan built the extravagant Taj Mahal as a mausoleum for his most beloved wife and was imprisoned in the Red Fort overlooking the Taj by his son until death. Both buildings are truly spectacular and the Taj Mahal is now one of the wonders of the World.

Day 04 : Agra - Khajuraho
Train to Khajuraho. Arrive & transfer to hotel.
Khajuraho is a village in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, located in Chhatarpur District, about 385 miles (620 kilometres) southeast of Delhi, the capital city of India.
The Khajuraho group of monuments has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.One of the most popular tourist destinations in India, Khajuraho has the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculpture.
The Khajuraho temples were built over a span of a hundred years, from 950 to 1050.
Today, the temples serve as fine examples of Indian architectural styles that have gained popularity due to their explicit depiction of the traditional way of sexual life during medieval times.

Day 05 : Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh
Morning visit the most important and fascinating western group of temples. UNESCO has declared the temples of Khajuraho a `world heritage' site in order to preserve the rich legacy of architecture, bequeathed to future generations by the Kings of the Chandela dynasty.
These temples are famous for their intricate sculptures and erotic carvings that are one of the outstanding achievements of Indian art. Later drive to Bandhavgarh. Bandhavgarh National Park is one of the popular national parks in India located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh.

Bandhavgarh was declared a national park in 1968 with an area of 105 km.The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is relatively high. The possibility of spotting Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Leopard and Tiger is very good.
The park is also densely populated with animals like the Chital (Spotted Deer), Sambar, Barking Deer, Nilgai (Blue Bull), Chowsingha (Four Horned Antelope) and is rich in bird life. Arrive at Bandhavgarh & check in at hotel, later afternoon game drive.

Day 06 : Bandhavgarh
Morning safari, afternoon safari.

Day 07 : Bandhavgarh - Kanha
After breakfast drive to Kanha National Park, another Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, India

Kanha National Park was created on 1 June 1955. The park has a significant population of Royal Bengal Tiger, leopards, the sloth bear, Barasingha and Indian wild dog.Arrive & check in at hotel, later afternoon game drive.

Day 08 : Kanha
Morning safari, afternoon safari.

Day 09 : Kanha - Pench
After breakfast drive to Pench.
The Pench National Park is located in northwestern Maharastra in India, about 70 km from the city of Nagpur.
Spread over an area of 275 km, 10% area of the park is in Maharastra rest 90% of area is in the neighbouring state of Madhya Pradesh.
The vegetation here is typical of the southern tropical deciduous forest. The common animals which can be seen are the gaur, sambhars, blue bulls, macaque, langur, wild boar, bears and wild dogs and the Park is well-known for its deers and leopards.
A few tigers and civets can also be spotted sometimes. Arrive & check in at hotel, later afternoon game drive.

Day 10 : Pench - Nagpur
Morning safari. Later drive to Nagpur. Arrive & check in at hotel.
Overnight at Hotel.

Day 11 : Nagpur - Mumbai - London
Drive to Nagpur airport to catch flight for London via Mumbai.
